Trickshot — Privacy Policy

Trickshot is an iOS app that uses your iPhone camera to track a ball, detect wall bounces, and score your shots. This policy explains what data the app collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Who we are

Trickshot is developed by Mick Lammers (operating as a sole proprietor in the Netherlands). Contact: micklammers@gmail.com.

Data we collect

When you sign in and play, the following data may be collected:

• Sign in with Apple identifier. A stable user ID provided by Apple. You may optionally share your full name and email — if you choose Apple's private email relay, we only ever see the relay address, not your real email.
• Anonymous device ID. A random UUID generated on your device the first time you upload a session. Used to group sessions by device for debugging.
• Optional nickname. A name you choose to display on the leaderboard.
• Session uploads (only when you tap "Submit to Leaderboard"):
  • A short video recording of your gameplay (including audio captured by the microphone).
  • A JSON file with ball-detection data, bounce timestamps, and computed scores.
  • Your total score for the session and the app version you used.

The app does not collect contacts, location, advertising identifiers, health data, or browsing history. There are no third-party analytics SDKs or ad networks.

How we use your data

• Authenticate you and link sessions to your account.
• Display your best score on the public leaderboard (shown together with your nickname, if you set one).
• Review uploaded gameplay videos and detection logs to improve the ball-tracking and bounce-detection algorithms.
• Debug crashes and quality issues.

Your video and audio are not shared publicly. They are kept private and used only by the developer for the purposes listed above.

Sharing

We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers. Limited sharing happens with:

• Apple, for Sign in with Apple. Apple's handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Where it is stored

Uploads are stored on a private server hosted in the Netherlands and operated by the developer. Access is restricted by authentication and TLS. Sessions are kept until you ask us to delete them or until they are no longer needed for development.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to receive a machine-readable copy of it. To exercise these rights, email micklammers@gmail.com from the address associated with your account (or include your Apple Sign-In user ID, which you can find in the app). We will respond within 30 days.

You can also revoke Sign in with Apple at any time via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security → Apps Using Apple ID.

Children

Trickshot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with TLS. Access to stored data is restricted to the developer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or via email.
